Oh, first of all, I'm Kailash Nadh :) I run the boastMachine project. So one day late night (20 July) , I was working on a little pingscript, that obviously powers a 'Recent blogs' page. So nothing big, I suddenly had the idea of starting a free ping service that everyone could use, and the big thing, the service would support a humongous number of ping services :)

That is how Pingoat was born. Hours after the idea sprang up, I was all ready with a name for the service, the site, pages and of course, the ping server !
